There are always many opportunities for students to flourish and learn more about the arts at LMS!

The Fine Arts Program at LMS include:

Art

Students will apply to art club by filling out the application form and submitting an artwork of their choice. Once accepted, students will meet twice per month after school in the art classroom with Ms. Henley. Activities include but are not limited to additional studio time, the opportunity to submit artwork to the MTRSAE art contest, hands-on experience with pottery wheels, and assisting with Legacy Theater set design.

Band/Orchestra

Students will expand their playing ability, improve their range, tone, and technique, enhance their ensemble skills, continue to assimilate music history and theory, and perform individually and as a group. Students will perform in the Winter and Spring Concerts along with other performances. Students achieving at a high level will be encouraged to audition for MTSBOA Mid-state Bands and Solo and Ensemble Festival

Chorus

Chorus is a performance-based music class. Students will learn about healthy vocal technique, practice sight-reading musical notation, and learn repertoire that will ultimately be performed during concerts throughout the semester. A wide variety of music will be studied - from traditional choral arrangements to pop tunes! If you love to sing this is the course for you!

Theater

The Legacy Theatre presents a Fall play and spring musical. Any LMS student may audition for a role in the production. Students wishing to remain behind the scenes also have opportunities with Legacy Theatre, including set design, makeup, sound and lighting.
